It was with sadness that the Society received the following email on 12th March 2017
Good morning, I regret to inform you of the sad passing of one of your members (my Grandad) Raymond Chapman . Raymond died in Castle Hill hospital on the 4th of march after a short and unexpected illness. United Towing was my Granddads life and he would often tell me all sorts of stories about his time there. My Mum has asked me to pass on the details of his funeral to this society as he often mentioned he was in touch with your members on this site. The funeral is to be held at Chanterlands Avenue Crematorium on Tuesday the 21st of March at 12:00 (noon) with a reception at the Pelican pub James Reckitt Avenue at 1:00 PM. All are welcome.
